Description

Reber 9008 N for tomato passata, purée and sauces

The Reber 9008 N No. 3 electric tomato strainer separates pulp from skins and seeds for homemade tomato sauces and preserves. This 450 W induction-motor version is designed for continuous operation according to the manufacturer's technical sheet. Rated output is 70–150 kg/h; actual throughput depends on the ingredients and their preparation.

Construction and benefits

  • Filter cone, hopper, collection tray and splash guard in AISI 303 stainless steel.
  • Cast-iron strainer body with food-use epoxy coating.
  • Acetal-resin auger and self-lubricating metal and nylon gears.
  • Suitable for raw or cooked tomatoes and for preparing jams from appropriately prepared fruit.
  • Long Life oil-bath gearbox; the manufacturer specifies no oil replacement or topping up.

Included equipment and optional filters

Motor unit, No. 3 straining assembly, standard filter cone, hopper, collection tray and splash guard. Optional filters are sold separately: Reber 5503NP No. 3, 1.1 mm fine holes and Reber 5503NG No. 3, 2.5 mm large holes. No. 5 filters should not be selected for this No. 3 assembly.

Before you buy

Is this a universal hard-vegetable juicer?

It is primarily a tomato strainer, not a universal juicer for raw carrots or beetroot. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for other ingredients, remove hard stones and prepare fruit appropriately.

Cleaning and storage

Unplug before dismantling or cleaning. Wash removable components according to the manual and dry them before storage. Never immerse the motor in water; use the food pusher rather than your hands.
